Yes, mine was flapping on the piano hinge with the windshield closed.
Are the mooring covers (bow and cockpit) trailerable?
Not yet but I have all the parts to. I was going to mount it on the bulkhead on the starboard side on the rear sun pad compartment.
No, I have not. I haven’t put that many hrs on the boat the last 2 seasons as we bought the 520DB last year so that project got put on the back burner.Jeremy, Have you had a chance to install your water separator filter yet?
Do you guys have a recommendation for a cover to keep the debris out when stored in the garage. The catch is I have the wakeboard tower so the cover has to go over the tower with the tower down. It would also be nice if the cover was tall to keep help protect the boat.
Thanks
Hi all.
New member here -- glad to be aboard! Couple of questions -- would appreciate any input you could offer.
Trolling Motor
Bought our first boat last fall, a 2019 SPX 210 and am enjoying it very much. One of my sons has gotten in to fishing so I am exploring some options of adding a trolling motor setup. I believe Sea Ray use to offer that as an option but due to lack of interest, no longer offers it. Has anyone added a trolling motor setup after the fact? If so, could you share what setup, brand, model, etc.. you went with?
Winter Fishing and Winterization Options
If my son and I want to use the boat late this fall and winter to fish, I'm confused on whether or not it is possible for me to completely drain the engine of water during the winter months after every time we use the boat. Can I simply drain the water out of my engine (4.5L 250HP Mercruiser Alpha drive) using the engine owner manual procedure for "Manual Single Point Drain System" after using the boat every time?
FYI, we store our boat in a lot up the hill from the marina --- we put it in and take it out of the water every time we use the boat. Part of the deal in buying the boat was a free winterization so last fall we had the marina winterize it (pink fluid) and then stored it in the lot over the winter and didn't use it until this spring.
Thanks again for any input you can share.
Leave it in and use it but I would drain the raw water in case of cold snap between uses. pull it once a year to change lubes and service.Have you made any decision on how you are going to handle you boat this winter. We live in Augusta, GA and have a 21SPX with the 4.5L 250 on order. It is supposed to be delivered in January. It will be stored in a wet slip up on a lift. Since we do have many warm days here, I like the idea of the "Manual Single Point Drain System". I have looked for others that use it though the winter, but most of the post s I am finding are from those that live up north and have to completely winterize their boats. Thank you for any help you can provide.
I’m on my second sea ray bow rider. Currently have a 04 200 sport, the spx21 is what this boat size morphed into.Hi All,
Looking at purchasing an SPX 210 OB. Not my first boat. Looking for thoughts, impressions, pitfalls. I would be going with the 200 Merc.
Looking to buy new. What is reasonable % off retail to offer?
Thanks in advance.
Robert
Thank you for the advice.Leave it in and use it but I would drain the raw water in case of cold snap between uses. pull it once a year to change lubes and service.
Here are two videos for drawing the raw water if you hit a cold snap. Yours may be different slightly, more so if you have closed cooling
