Found a 98 near me that is listed for only 62k (gas engines, 500 hours), however, I can tell from the pictures that a ton of work is needed to get it looking good again. Can someone give me a rough estimate of the cost to replace all canvas/enclosures and all carpet? Also, what do you think it would cost to replace all upholstery in the salon and on the bridge?
I realize these things can vary greatly depending on the level of quality, but I'm really just looking for a very rough idea, so I can decide if it is even worth spending half a day to go look at the boat.
Thanks in advance!
We are getting new CANVAS on our 400 right now. It’s completely custom, So we’re not getting it from the OEM vendor. Full custom helm enclosure, fully new custom aft enclosure, infinity carpet on the helm, the stairs, the cockpit, and the swim platform. In addition, we added a support beam to the helm structure so that the aft-most glass comes straight down, not an angle. That should eliminate the leak that is common in the aft glass on a lot of these boats. More importantly, it allows you to sit all around the table without the people in the back having to hunch over. All that being said, it comes in around $12K. I should have pictures to post here in a couple days.
