Previous owner of my boat did the Project 1000 (that's the name, not "Progress 1000") replacement with the conversion starboard plate. When I bought the boat three of the four thick locking nuts and vibrated off and only one nut was left holding the windlass in place. And it was loose. Bottom line is the studs are not long enough to get through the plate and the deck of my 400DB with enough thread left to get to the locking part of the supplied nut. I ended up replacing the locking nuts with locking washers and thin nuts. That gave a thin enough nut/washer profile to get the nut all the way on with about one thread sticking out.
