Hello All!
About 2 months ago I purchased my first boat (2004 240DA) and shortly after I found CSR. Since then I spend about an hour a day reading many different posts and I would like to thank everyone for both the knowledge gained and many laughs!

Great site! :smt038

Hello Sean...

Keep reading. You'll be suprised at how many times something happens on your boat and you say to yourself, "Oh yeah... a guy on CSR had this problem, and he did this to fix it...". It has been extremely helpful to me in my first 11 months of boating.

Where do you keep your boat? I'm at Bill's Boats right next to the Dock of the Bay Restaurant.

OK - I didn't know the name was Bill's Boats, but I know exactly where you're talking about.

We keep it in the boatel at Chesapeake Yachting Center behind Walmart. We have about an hour drive from PA and come down on weekends mostly. If we stay overnight we rent a slip. Nice people, reasonable prices, free ice and charcoal. what else could you ask for...

We're not too familiar with the area yet, but we've been to Hart-Miller Island and Fairlee Creek. We have 2 girls (5 & 6 years old) and they love to anchor out and swim to the beach.

Welcome as well! I keep my boat at Goose Harbor off of Seneca Creek. You should check out Sue Creek for a nice place to anchor. Also, the fireworks are on Saturday the 5th at the mouth of Middle River. Always a lot of fun.

I'm familiar with your marina. Have made many trips to West Marine in the shopping center. Like to get a good meal every now and then at the Carroll Island Diner.

Enjoy the Upper Bay!

Yep,
We used to be at Chesapeake as well. Great place! Now we are out a little off Middle river. The shopping center there is very convienent.

With gas prices the way they are, we find ourselves going back into the Parkside area mentioned before.
There were a lot of boats there last Sunday, fathers day.

Welcome, and Sea you around.

Thanks for the tips on the anchor/swim areas. we stopped at the martin's airport / parkside area a couple weeks back, the water was still a little too cold for the princesses back then, but I think we'll end up spending a lot time there this summer. We'll be sure to check out Seneca Creek too!

Walz/techmitch, thanks for the fireworks tip! I was actually looking for that info a couple days ago.

Thanks again,

I second the 5th of July Rendezvous. The Middle River Fireworks are very good although it is packed. We are at Baltimore Marine Center and would make the trip, providing my first mate doesn't over-ride me...

Sean, welcome to the board. This is a very educational and entertaining forum. Hope to see you on the Bay!
