It's not clear from the archive information on the Sea Ray site... it appears the the B2 only came with the bigger diesels. Are you sure they are Bravo? Alphas are popular with twin 5.7's also.

I would have said Alpha1's also. The Bravo II came out in 1991/92 and were put on 454's and Deisel boats. The Bravo I has a smaller prop diameter than the Bravo II, Mike.

 

My '89 300DA with 5.7s has Alpha I gen I outdrives. Unless somebody did a swap to Bravos, it most likely came from the factory with Alpha I Gen I ODs. Post a pic of your drives if you could.

Its my understanding that the factory outdrive in '89 for 5.7s was the Alpha. So if you are sure you have Bravo drives, then somebody did an aftermarket upgrade at some point.

Definitely Bravo I's. Props are too small to be a BII.

 

Those sure look like Bravo 1's to me. 2's, like the props, are bigger. Also the props are both identical. If you had 2's, you'd have both RH & LH props.

 

Umm, unless my eyes are playing tricks those props are mirrored, not identical.

 

Obviously my eyes are playing tricks...counter rotating by the looks of things which would make them 2's. Maybe that 5 hour drive would be worth it!

 

Those are counter rotating Bravo Is. Unlike a Gen. II Alpha, shift cable orientation determines prop. rotation in a Bravo I or Ii.

 

Look like Bravo 1's - same drives on the pachanga I previously owned and our race boat which ran RH and LH props.

Also to support: The bravo 1's have the trailing edges above and below the prop running at angles while the bravo 2 has that same trailing edges running vertical.
