Looking at an older searay.

Both sides have similar cracking. Boat is too old for the surveyor I contacted. What is potentially going on here. Current owner says it’s been this way since he bought it about 12 years ago

Cracking around the exhaust is very common. I've heard numerous folks suggest it is a non-issue. Cosmetic only.

You should find a different surveyor for sure. Age should not impact a good surveyors ability to perform a survey...

Almost every 1980s Sea Ray has that cracking around the exhaust outlets. I believe it's caused from the very thick gelcoat in that area that shrinks and cracks as it ages. I don't believe the hull has wood coring in that area and should not be an issue other than cosmetic.

That is defiantly cosmetic. Mine has it as well. An 80's 340 is too old to survey, but get a mechanic to look at the engines and possibly do a compression test. The rest is inconsequential on those boats. They are solid hull(s).
