My ex's mother passed.
For a number of reasons I traveled to S.E. KY to attend the funeral.
My former stepdaughter had recently gotten divorced. It was not a cordial divorce.
Her ex traveled to KY, stopped at two gun stores to try and buy a 100 round drum magazine along the way. He had made threats to the family and arrived at the funeral home asking when the family would arrive. The police had been informed and they quickly encountered and engaged him and he was also accused of impersonating a peace officer by making statements about working for the CIA and that he was associated with the FBI and Kentucky State Police. (No shots were fired).
My understanding is he had texted his daughter with the details of what he was going to do.
He was arrested and they found 3 handguns, multiple gun magazines, ammunition, one law enforcement style tactical ballistic vest, one baton and loose hydrocodone pills.
I arrived just as 3 police cars were departing from the funeral home.
Fortunately no one was hurt but what a mess when a family should be grieving the loss of a mother and grandmother....
