My wife and kids got me one for Christmas. It's pretty sweet, I can't wait to use it for boating this summer.

I went the cheap azz route for under $50 bucks.

I have one but never really considered using it for boating.

 

I bought a GoPro Hero 3 Black Edition camera to take on our Antipodean trip last October. Shot some great pics while there. Although our snorkeling the Great Barrier Reef didn't come out so well as we were on a guided snorkel and some of the video was of the life ring we all had to hold- Since returning have not had time to use it much but it's a great camera, hoping to use it more this summer

I got one too for Christmas... So far have only used for snow skiing vids. Can't wait to attach to the boy's helmet for wakeboarding!

 

We've had a Hero 2 for awhile now and upgraded to the new Hero 3 Black Edition a year ago.
They both get used all the time, summer and winter, and enjoy the saved memories. A nice tool for editing is the GoPro Studio. The last clip below used it combining the GoPro video with still pictures. Most of my clips are shared on Facebook with friends but here are a couple others:
