Remember this? Just cleaning up the house in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy and came across this. Thanks again Jim for finding a home for us wayward souls ;)

I don't suppose there are any records remaining, but I was one of the first 3-4 guys on the SRO site way, way back in the beginning when we got frustrated with the uncontrolled Boat/US forum.

Over the ensuing 10 or so years, I've made some great friends on both sites, so thank you Jeremy and Jim. Thanks also, Brian, for yet one more reminder that I am getting old!

Frank,

Whenever you need a reminder, just let Rick or me know - we're here to help!

I've only been on the site a few years now, but I've been a boater since I was a child. Somehow, I never discovered this site, or the SRO site. But, like the rest of you, I find it a great place to meet new friends, and help fellow boaters. Hopefully, we'll all be here for many more years....

When the old SRO site closed up I was among the multitude to make it over here to CSR. Jim really stepped up to the plate to provide us the bandwidth we needed as this site grew to be one of the largest and best boating forums on the net. I would guess that between SRO and CSR I have been around for roughly nine years now. Here is one the old SRO Flags I had on my 240 Sundeck.

Many thanks to Jim for providing this site and to Jeremy as well for the old SRO site.

Maybe Todd has some left over from the last time he took orders for the Sea Ray decals. I know I got one on the first time and then another the second time that I put up for future use. I also got a CSR decal when they were made.

I even remember a kinder more gentler GW on SRO. Trying to remember how long SRO existed before the end? And, yes, thanks Jim...

Frank. I was quick to follow (3/27/04) I, along with many, were all waiting to find a safe harbor from the few idiots who ruled the Boat US site. (and still do) Now CSR has become the most informative SR site around.

I also got a decal from Todd, a few years later I had 10 of these made up at $5 each, oh yea had a couple Sea Ray decals made as well..............Many thanks to Jim for such a great site.

I also joined the SRO site after purchasing my 280. I was and still am learning many things about her and other things as well. I remember when the site went down and thinking, omg what do I do now. I also thank Jim for his efforts and giving us the great forum we have here today.

I've been around for awhile, not here as much as I used to be. I think Go First Class (GFC) suggested that I check out SRO back then. What a great find, and then it vanished. Then CSR came along, reunited with a lot of the SRO crowd. What a knowledge base to draw from...and then came the green balls....ah yes, those green balls.

September 2007 while looking for my 280DA I contacted Sea Ray Corporate with a question about the boat I was looking at. I received an email that referred me to this site. And I've gotta tell ya, there was 2800 ish members at that time and wow what a ride it has been. My wife asks me daily "what are your friends on CSR saying today",,,,, and strangely "What's Gary up to",,,, ( side bar you got something to tell me dude???) But I digress. Thanks for ALL the help over the years and I hope to be able pay it back someday.

I joined a couple years after SRO but I have heard some of the stories. Thanks to Jim for providing the support and to all the contributors for providing content. Speaking of Jeremy, looks like he has not been on in a year. Anyone heard form him? I wonder if he is still boating?

I joined in 06 after purchasing my first boat, coming home and freaking out about putting it in the water the first time. Luckily I found Jeremy's site and within an hour several members had me thinking I was going to be just fine. So glad I came across Jeremy's site that night...
