my1995 220OV had a 50% colored blue hull. My 1999 230OV has 90% colored Green hull. I know the two tone has been around awhile. My 1991 180BR was all white but I seem to recall they had a few models with the split colored hull.

I think he's looking for which model sea ray's used the balsa "cored" hulls... I may be mistaken but I think that's what he's asking. Although I don't know which ones did???:huh:

 

I think thomas is referring to cored hull construction. I know SR used cores, not sure of date ranges though.

i am looking to see when searay used balsa cored hulls.
looking at the site that watterlogged gave us, it looks like 1995 to 2002.
i emailed searay customer service. they were more than happy to help. searay mentioned with all the boat they have out there it would be difficult to pin point the model and years.

they did say, when i find the pre owned searay i want to call them with the HUI number and they could tell me. I hate to go through all that not knowing what model or year i should be looking for.

what size boat do you want?

410 and 500 for the most part have solid bottoms. I have a 450 with a balsa bottom. this boat is solid, cored hulls are not in my decision making equations. survey and history...

 

Most of the models including those built today over 40 feet have cored bottoms, especially the bridge boats. I believe the models built in the Palm Coast and Sikes Creek plants generally are cored while those built at Merrit Island are not. The smaller boats built in Knoville all have solid bottoms.

 

I do not believe that to be a true statement.

 

Still looking from 37 to 50 in a express/dancer. I think the year of the boat will make the difference. I subcribe to the power boat guide book. The older guide books used to show if the hull was solid glass or cored on all searays, the new guide book only shows a few.
problem is, I allways dispose of the older books.
