cockpit light problem

My cockpit light toggle switch is momentary up spring return to center and momentary down with spring return to center. My cockpit lights go on if I hold the switch up but go off when I let go and it returns to center which makes me think either a switch problem or a relay problem. My question, does this switch operate a relay & if so, where is it? 2008 29' Amberjack

Being a 2008, you likely have two EIM's (one under the dash and one in the bilge) which use momentary switches. The fact that the lights flash on with the switch indicates that the switch is OK. The problem is in your EIM... that's where the latch is supposed to take place. There are no relays... it's all electronic.

Looking at your schematics, it does not appear to have EIM's (surprise to me for this year model). I also do not see any relays. Is it possible that someone (PO) changed the switch and inadvertently installed a momentary?

Are any of the other switches momentary?

I have a problem with my cabin lights and fans on my 1987 250 Sundancer. They all went out at once but all other 12v functions in the cockpit are fine. I know of only one fuse box which is located in the head under the dashboard but all of those fuses are good. Does anyone know where the fuse or relay to cabin lights is located?
