Few questions:

1. How do I remove the cushion next to the forward bedroom and the top bolsters? I would like to replace the fabric.
2. Where do I get OEM "Sundancer" Logos for side of boat
3. Are the raised "340" available anywhere?

Boat is an early 03

Thanks!

Cant help ya with #1 but #2 & 3 you should be able to get at MarineMax I would think.

There are screws wedged under the cushion holding it on. there is no storage under that cushion, the space is filled with insulation. Dale (Mustang) was able to remove his. Details may be on Dalle's 340 resteration blog...

Tried them already. The "Sundancer" is not available anymore and the raised "340" shows a price of 195.00 EACH! and they would have to confirm availability.

I'm sure a graphics company could do the decals (they'd just need a picture of it) and maybe even the raised 340 insignia

When I first test drove my boat (2 1/2 year ago) it had 4 blade props on it. Between the time I test drove it and was finally able to purchase it, the owner had the props replaced with "the stock 3 blade props". The boat was just hauled to get some work done, including balancing the props. I'm wondering if I should switch back to the 4 blade props. I've heard that I can get better fuel economy from the 4 blades even though I may lose some speed. Any suggestions or thoughts would be appreciated.

My '05 came with 4 bladed props. It's my understanding that the '03 1/2 models had 3 blades, but Searay switched to 4 blades for '04 and subsequent. Mine performed a lot better than my dockmate's '03 1/2 did with 3 blades. Have him switch tem back as a condition of the sale...

Acme owner worked for Michigan Wheel for 15 years before he started Acme. Their props are lower priced, that is about all.
All that hype about machining tolerances, and each blade exactly like the next, and less vibration......They look so pretty....maybe I don't need one....hmmmmm

What engines did he have? My 2003.5 340 sundancer with 8.1's came stock with 4 blades. There is an early model 2003 close to my dock that has 3 blades.

I've spoken to quite a few prop shops and EVERYONE of them suggested 4 blade. Smoother ride and better fuel economy. I ordered Teignbridge 18x22 4 blades today over the Michigan ones, hope I made the right choice.
Not sure where you ordered them from but Michigan Wheel now makes the 18x22 for teignbridge whether you get a box with teignbridge or Michigan wheel they will be identical. If you found a supplier with old stock pre 2006, that would have been manufactured by teignbridge made in the phillipines they used to be owned by sea ray. They would have made that prop. But all said they will both be the same.

06 and up have 18x22 port, 18x21.5 starboard. Pre 06 I believe are 21.5 and 21

Interesting. A few prop suppliers here in Florida told me to go with teignbridge over michigans. One said the michigan dqx but would go with teignbridge if given a choice. Regarding prop size, I spoke with marine max and a few searay guys and they all said 18x22 came on my boat. 05 was the first year of the different props.

If you contact general propeller supply located in brandenton Florida they will give you that info. That would be for the direct replacement props that the 340 sea Rays were equipped from with from the factory. Teignbridge made the original props which Michigan wheel now makes. The dqx you are referring to is different. But if you were looking for OEM, The teignbridge pre 05,06 and the Michigan wheel are identical. I just went through this with general propeller, they are very helpful.

Gotcha. I will contact them tomorrow and see what they say. From what I understand the prop pitch is the same LH and RH for my year 340. The DQX was suggested because they had more "bite" and what not. Who knows, I am far from a prop specialist and just get info from these companies.

thanks for the contact info...i have read many times in my research about the loose connection of the coax cable at the antenna so i will be sure and check that...i think one of the 'accessory' breakers under the helm may control power to the antenna gain control/amp....i will check into that as well to see if any connections are loose or maybe a blown in-line fuse....

the more i read about this the more questions i have....i have read many forum posts and other info on the net that state there is no such thing as a 'digital' antenna....they claim that the Glomex antenna is a VHF antenna which receives both analog and digital broadcast signals....they also say the only difference in the Glomex analog antenna and the digital antenna is a sticker on the shell and the cost.....the components of both antennas are identical....

can anyone knowledgable in audio/video confirm or deny this?

thanks...

to follow-up on this post, this WE i removed the gain control amp and found the 5 amp in-line fuse was blown....got a replacement fuse at Radio Shack and installed it in the fuse holder...the red light on the gain control now glows brighter and brighter as the gain control knob is turned clockwise....

with the gain control all the way up I did a channel search on the newly installed 28" Insignia LED HD TV....i now receive 25 channels over the air with the original Glomex omni-directional antenna....the vast majority of these channels are crystal clear..... so this leads me to believe there is no difference in the older Glomex antennas and the newer ones which are labeled 'digital'....

so with 25 TV channels, Blu Ray disc player, Sirius satellite radio, AM/FM radio, and 6 CD player/changer we should be set regarding sources of entertainment...

i do have another question....there is another 'stick' style Glomex antenna installed on top of the radar arch....looks like it is about 1 ft tall.....it is bad shape and obviously not working....does anyone know what was this antenna is for?....i would like to remove it but just want to make sure it is not needed first....i have a GPS antenna on top of the arch and an 8' VHF radio antenna on the side of the arch....

thanks...
