Yep, I did. They kept sending me back to Searay and they never told me that the handles I've been looking for are discontinued. Here's the last correspondence with the Searay dealer:

Yup. You’ve got the discontinued ones.

They look a little different and only latch one way, but I do believe the #1720’s are the closest replacement.

And yeah, I’ve had PLENTY of correspondence with Terra (she’s my TM rep) about these handles.

The #1720's don't work. Crazy to replace a good hatch because of the handles. Thanks for all the replies, I'll post something when I get this figured out.

Well, I bought some nylon stock and found a lathe. A few hours later and I have replacement latches. I'll post some pictures when I get to my PC. They work perfectly.

It's all about the cost of the tooling, I'd have to sell a lot of them. Here is a picture and of course there are right hand and left hand that I had to make. I've tested these on the boat and they work great at least now I don't have to worry about the window falling out. I have an idea for the actual handle, which will be reversible depending on which latch is needed.

Honestly they would be expensive, but I guess Taylor Made gets $30 each for the ones they still make. It would be less than replacing a perfectly good window. I can't seem to upload any additional files, there's not much storage on this site?

The part number originally was 853143...which was changed to 1437524 (Talyor part number 703-027299).......let me know if you still hit a wall

Rusty: This is a comment on an old thread. I need the aft kickout window that fits 390/400/420 MY and a bunch of other boats. The part # is 1437524 (Talyor part number 703-027299). I have called Searay, Taylormade, dealers, salvage yards and a host of others.......no help. I have the glass and handles, but no frame. Any ideas would be helpful..Thanks
