So last season I had my boat in a slip and constantly connected to shore power. My zincs lasted fine all season...I think I replaced prop anodes at a mid season haul last year,

This season I am on a mooring, while at a cove yesterday I observed far greater wear now than around the same time last year. I would have thought that being off shore power and away from other potential stray current sources would have minimized the galvanic reaction.

misinformed? Someone at the cove commented that in an active water way with tidal and wind swings zinc wear can be more pronounced. Any truth to that?

also, since I will be replacing them what's the opinions on Martyr zincs vs OEM?
