ZF Transmission - Looking to find one.

I have a friend looking for a ZF Marine Transmission 305A with ratio 1.750.

Any ideas where to find one?

Are you sure you need a new transmission? They are not cheap, and sometimes can be rebuilt/repaired.

But if you must .. Call these guys. http://www.marinegears.com I've priced (and purchased) some transmission parts from them and they are the least expensive I have found.

I would also try Tony Athens at sbmar.com

Both will give you good technical advice over the phone and generally be helpful diagnosing problem/solution.

I don't need one - A friend asked to me to look for one for him. He must be desperate as he lives in Germany... I hate to think what it will cost to ship it to him...

ZF i believe is a German company. They likely have manufacturing in Europe

ZF Has a facility here is the US but it looks like they work through dealers. My friend says they have one here but he cannot buy it. So does anyone have a dealer recommendation I can work with.

And any thoughts about shipping issues to Germany?
