I have a 2008 44 Sundancer with Zeus Pods. Last year, the Starboard trim tab cylinder failed and reluctant to replace both, I opted for only the failed one. (if it ain't broke, don't fix it!). As luck would have it, the Port failed over the 4th of July weekend. The part it not readily available, so my question is, can you bypass the cylinder hydraulic lines and give up functionality of the port cylinder/trim control so the boat can be used until the part is available? I'm assuming the pressure sensor could be a challenge to bypass? Currently, steering available just no joy stick, and port engine restricted to idle speed only. Is it safe to continue to use?
