You got to check your bilge after fueling or atleast sniff the blower vent outlet

It is funny the looks I get from gas dock attendants when I go sniff the blower vent. Very few must do that….

I have one, checked it in spring, help a small cup of gas near it, it screamed like an whatever, anyway it works. Nice to have, but only as a secondary system.

Why I never depend on the blower. First start up I pull the entire engine hatch and let it air out.

At gas up as well. Open the hatches and air it out.

Throttling down after a run I open the hatch. After almost 10 minutes I then turn blowers on.

Spark from turning on your blowers can make for a bad day.

We had a 32 ft boat explode in a harbor near me a few years ago. Captain was killed and the passenger was hospitalized.

VERY experienced boater, but obviously not careful enough. It is easy to get complacent.
