You folks have any creative ideas for handles on center console dinghies?

We've been putting some miles on our dink this spring. The only bummer so far is that there are really no handles for the passenger sitting on the bench next to the driver. It can get a little bumpy out there at times. I think I'm going to need to add something.

You can buy "strap handles" that seem to be marketed more for the UTV market, which I may do, but I thought I'd ask you folks if you've done anything creative to add a handle for the first mate on your tender?

Thanks in advance!

All of my Zodiacs have had a grab handle installed just beneath the seat in the fiberglass on the passenger side.

I've owned a pair of handles that suck on to the side of practically any smooth gelcoat, plastic, fiberglass or metal surface. Incredible strong suction. I use them to lock on to the side of my hull when I wash it using my own dink. Perhaps you could simply attach to the starboard side of that little helm station you've got?

Mike Walker bay generation 340 has a hoop going over the center consul and that tends to be what most people hold onto when running. We also have a strap glued to the tube on the left side of the passenger as well. I wonder if you can get something similar for your center console. This isn’t a great
Pic but gives you an idea of the hoop.

You guys are quick...and awesome.

I do have a stainless handle on the console but the position is really not useful for the bench-seated passenger. It's a weird lean forward to hold on there while underway. And I usually have a kid seated in the center position :)

The white suction cupped handle is a slick idea. Might not even look bad! I'll probably start with the $12 Home Depot version rather than the $125 industrial rig though! Very cool.
