Hello guys,

I am to buy a 2007 searay sundancer and next to the engine on the left m there is a yellow handle that connects to some sort of pump but I have no idea what it is.
Handle reads OFF-ON position and is branded Appolo. Would that be seawater cooling for the fridge? toilet?

Thnak you

"To the left of the engine" sounds like it's at the same height as the engine. But the description sounds like a seacock, which would be on the bilge floor.

It's a pretty vague description and I'm not even sure what boat you're talking about. But I'm going to make an uneducated guess that it's the seacock for the A/C.

If you want a better answer, some pictures of this "yellow handle" and this "some sort of pump" would help.

Or... what does the owner of the boat say?

Sounds like a seacock. I'm betting the "pump" you describe is actually a strainer.

Typical configuration is intake -> seacock -> strainer -> sea water pump (for engine cooling, HVAC, deck wash, generator cooling, etc.)

Would that be seawater cooling for the fridge? toilet?

FYI, there is no such thing as seawater cooling for a fridge (at least not the ones we have!) or toilet.

Suggestion: Hire a local mechanic to spend a couple hours with you and go through the basics of the systems.

Apollo Conbraco makes seacocks. The handles are yellow with Apollo printed on them. Take a picture of the seacock and pump and it will probably be quickly identified. If the boat has an air conditioner, that would be my first guess.

Probably the seacock for the AC. That AC water pump is very close to the seacock on my 330DA.

Something like this?

Hello guys, sorry for the delay! It was for the AC. So I need to turn the handle on before having the AC on, good to know
