My searay is 7 years old and has been waxed twice a year but my yellow part of the gelcoat is fading. What can I do to bring it back?

Try using a rubbing compound before waxing. Since your boat is only 7 years old, you should have plenty of thickness in the gelcoat to allow for a rubbing compound to be used to remove the oxidation. Rubbing compound will remove the very top layer gelcoat of oxidation to show the shiny gelcoat underneath. Be sure to not be to aggressive. you just want to remove the oxidized gelcoat. 3M makes some excellent products to remove oxidation.

It also depends on the wax you have been useing.carnuba wax will cause discoloration or milkiness because it is yellow and milky.I am going to try leverage this spring ,i think there is a post on here somewhere ,they may even be a sponsor.

thanks for the help fellows only 20 + days until spring
