Yacht Transport by Sea

Ask the guy from austrailia with the 54DA......he used them - does dockwise do that route too or are they just east coast/med?

Do a search in the internet for negative reviews. There are a bunch. Like cashing your check and the ship not being there on the designated day; or taking your money and then cancelling that trip due to lack of boats to ship.

Proceed with caution.

I'm in Roche Harbor now and the customer I am delivering vents to just had his boat he bought in Mexico delivered to Canada using Yachtpath. He ran it down from Nanaimo on Wed.

These are valid issues, but ocean shipping is not like trucking, airlines, or railroads. Delays happen, voyages get cancelled. That's why good supply chain guys get big bucks, because they can work with these idiosyncrasies.

I've used Dock Express in the past to ship port cranes from the us to Africa. The service was first rate in the ocean context. As I recall we paid something like 50k per crane and it was a deal considering the cranes had a value just above scrap in the US and delivered to Lagos we recovered book value and transport.
