Y Pipe Component Part Numbers

Hi all,

My engine is out and being rebuilt ('81 260 Merc 4bbl, serial# 5969476) and I want to check the exhaust shutter in the lower part of the Y pipe. Figured might as well do it since the engine is out.

I've been on just about every website that has Illustrated Parts Lists w/part numbers, but I can't seem to find any that show my Y pipe setup. They all show different configurations in the driveshaft extention listings.

I'd need to get whatever gaskets or O rings (and shutters if needed) to put it back together, and am looking for part numbers, etc.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

Try these guys I think your using the wrong serial #

Thanks for the reply John. Was up at that site today; that's the newer style, with the sutters on top. Mine's the old style with the shutter down on the bottom. The parts I need are probably the same as what they do show for my engine - shown in the section on the driveshaft extention components. Honestly, I haven't even looked at my service manual for this yet. Figured it'd be easy to find online, but noooooooo!

Nah, that ain't it either. Mine looks like this, only instead of all those pieces, it's got a Y pipe:
