Hey guys,
Slowly trying to bring a 1980 Searay SRV255 Sedan Bridge back up to speed and I have a wiring question. She has twin 1980 470's with serial #'s starting with 55........ I have one engine up and running but the second engine has a wiring harness that scares me to death. It look like the previous owner put it together with butt crimp connectors and they are all unprotected and touching. I cannot find any numbers on the y harness. It appears the y harness is used on dual station boats which this boat is. It appears to be about 2'-3' long with two big plugs toward one end and one big plug on the other end which plugs in at circuit breaker. Does anyone have a part number for the y harness so I can start the search for a replacement. I have searched Google and Yahoo and have tracked down several different numbers, but cannot be for sure which is the correct harness. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Many thanks, Roger

How can you have a engine "Y" harness when each engine has its own set of gauges?

I am assuming it is because there are gauges up top and down in the cabin. I assume the Y harness helps "split" the signal that comes from the plug/harness in the "breaker plate" and helps send it to both sets of gauges. New to I/O's and fly bridge stuff so I could be off by a mile. Willing to learn so fire away with any pointers you might have. Thx!
