Anyone have a working Raymarine autopilot course computer they would like to sell? I have the ST7000 control unit and my course computer is behaving unpredictably.

Thanks.

Yup.... tried that. Last season it lived to read 14 * then I did the reorientate process. (Drive your boat in 2 circles check deviation prices in the auto pilot book) had 1 % deviation worked great for about 2 days now it loves to read 33* .

Do you have a picture of what you are looking for, I may have one

74alfa seems to know what he's looking for so whatever you have he's got first dibs since this is his post. I've seen them all over ebay and pretty cheep at that. As for me I can't isolate what u actually need (fluxgate, coarse computer, or auto pilot head unit) so I don't actually know what I need

Can u please explain unpredictably? What is it doing? I'm having issues with mine as well.

I cannot get it to calibrate. The control head keeps saying "too fast", which is impossible since I'm doing 4-minute 50-yard circles. It seems to happen at the same relative heading from the starting point. I even tried a new fluxgate compass. I've been in touch with Raymarine tech support and they want me to ship the computer to their repair center but we're going on vacation for 10 days this weekend and I don't think they could turn it around that fast... thus looking for a replacement.

Thanks. Below is an image from the manual... any of these could also be a "G" model that has a built-in Gyro.

Try making your circles much larger. When I did mine I was at idle and each circle was about 7-8 minutes. What's your deviation before u start your circle and are you matching your auto pilot heading display with your on board fixed compas before starting your circle. Also pull the cover off the wires going into coarse computer. Make sure u have a picture odd were they go. Remove them, make sure no ends have corrosion and reinstall. I did this and although it didn't affect the performance there were a couple weeks hanging on by just a strand and some had just a little corrosion.

Went down just before and took her for a ride again to try and recalibrate the auto pilot again. Deviation was 002 set the heading according to the on board compas and started my circles. No luck what so ever. I started at 90* and it just wouldn't follow my heading. Would stay on 90-95 * then jump to 330 then aby other number that just wasn't correct. Did 3 full circles that took me about 20 minutes and still would not calibrate. I'm curios to c if replacing your course computer fixes your issue. Please keep me updated

There's also a test to make sure the ohms provided from the fluxgate compass are within spec... not sure if you tried this but mine are right-on. I have done more circles than a circus clown on a bike, all at different speeds and widths, but always within the limits of the instructions.

It worked. There were only 3 posts about having 2 heading sensor. Does a raystar 125 count as a heading sensor or just gps?

Does this match yours, If so, you can have it for the shipping cost.
