Would you leave the fridge on shore power?

Pietro,

What's the champagne for ????????

:grin::grin::grin:

What sound better? “let’s have a glass of champagne on myott” ...or “let’s have a beer on myott”? :wink:

So why can't the battery charging companies give us the option to pull the light out of the charger, add a long electrical umbilical and then put the light up on the dashboard somewhere? Then, no matter where you are, you can see that it's charging? I have the boat parked next to the house and I check it by unplugging the cord and then plugging it back in. I can put my ear on the boat and hear the charging humming. It would sure be nice if I had an LED that I could dangle someplace to visually check it! I live in a dreamworld though....

Thanks for the responses guys. I think that's an unequivocal 'leave the damn thing on' .....for safety reasons!:smt043

That's what's so good about this forum. A whole bunch of experience to draw from. From this day forth, fridge goes on, beer goes in. :thumbsup:

Seriously. . it is for safety reasons. Sometimes, the drive to the boat is hard. And I often have bad weeks.

It would not be safe for anyone if I did not have immediate access to cold beer.

4 years of cold beer. Turn the micro power on and set the clock. If power goes out, micro clock is off. If it goes off for a while, bag of cubes is flat (good trick).

Learned 'em both here.

I have owned my 270 Sundancer since 2001 and I can tell you since 2002 I have only turned the frig off in the early spring to clean it. It is on all summer and winter. I have never had a problem with it.

The 400EC is currently on the berm/hard for this winter. Next winter I plan to leave it in the water.

I think your inquiry is about the fact that I show the 400EC in the pic and then talking about the 270 SD. I bought the 400EC in early Oct. Expect to sell my boat come spring thanks to the new canvas and the that everyone is interested in this boat.

So right now I have the 400EC, 270SD and a 15ft Seadoo Jet boat. So, I have 82 plus feet of boats to clean, polish, service etc. :smt089
