I have a 280 Sea Ray Sundancer in storage in Fort Lauderdale. I am new to cruisers and have only used the boat 2 times in the area. I have been told that I should have no problem getting to Bimini if the weather permits but I feel a little uncomfortable going it alone the first trip. My question is can the 280 make the trip and is there any planned trips over the labor day holidays that a newbie could tag along on. My wife and I are planning on staying at the Miami beach Marina on Thursday night before the holiday weekend.
