I just bought a beautiful 1985 SeaRay 18’ Seville with Cuddy cabin. My boat does not have a trim gauge on the dash panel. The engine is a Mercruiser 3.0 Alpha 1. The outdrive has both Trim Limit (port side) and Trim Sending (Starboard side) installed. Trim up/down buttons on shifting handle. Works great. I bought a trim gauge to install, but don’t know where to locate the ends of sensor wires to hook to the gauge. I see where the brown (or purple) with white stripe and black wires enter a boat wire harness that goes toward the front of the boat. Where can I find the sensor wire leads? I’m a disabled veteran (amputee) and is difficult to run back and forth to lean over the transom to see what position the outdrive is in. Thank you all in advance!

More than anything, thank you for your service and sacrifice for our country!

I really have never had a gauge (that worked right), so I always went by ear (and I have 60% hearing loss) when at the ramp to trailer and go by feel when driving the boat.
Good luck!
