I picked up this 88 Sorrento S 24 three weeks ago. in between my honey do projects I managed to get her looking up to par and in the water. Here is what I have done. First and foremost was to remove all the Poli Glo from the hull and deck. The deck looked like the clear coat peeling off a car. I ended up wet sanding the entire hull and deck and then used Buff Magic to bring the shine back. I finished off with Pro Polish. I shampooed the cuddy cushions and cleaned all the vynal. I still need to scrub the cockpit, but I just wanted to get here in the water. I put her in the water last friday and took her on a maiden voyage. This boat is so much different than my 200 BR. Her are some before and after pics. Let m know what you think.

I had Poli Glo on a bowrider I used to own. What a disaster that stuff is! I believe mine looked worse than yours. My boat was red and it made it look pink. I ended up having a friend paint and clear the side because I couldn't get the color to come back.
    It looks great!

Good job. Ya must've worked your butt off on it. It's only been a few weeks.

Thanks Chris! I used every spare minute I had! When we finished working on a house project for the night, I would work on the boat. Even if it was only 10 minutes. Last weekend I was able to get some solid time in on it. I finished the repair on our inground pool and the liner is in. Now it's back to replacing split rail! :smt089

Hey Olds, check out the "official 230 cuddy" post on the Classic forum. Your boat fits this category and we'd love to hear some input from other owners. Hopefully get to use our 230 again this weekend (for the second time this summer) as we're now finished with all the extra curricular activities until the September long weekend. I want to know if other owners experience the same ride quirks and qualities that we have.
