Wooo Hoooo I splash this weekend

I'll be at the marina this weekend to buff and wax the old whore. . :grin:
Then I'm in the water and let the fun begin finally.!!!!

I was dropped in last Friday, went up to the marina on Sunday and did a little maintenance. My wife and daughter came to take a ride so we ended up going across the Long Island Sound to Stamford for lunch!!

Oh man, it's only April and i'm sooo happy!!!!

wish I was going to spash this weekend, but it's supposed to be a rainy cold weekend.
 
Which reminds me..."splashed"...who exactly came up with this term when referring to the joyous event of launching a vessel? :huh: I mean, honestly, would any of us really be excited let alone happy if we saw a "splash" while this event was taking place.:wow: I don't know about anyone else, by I'm looking for less than a ripple when they "ease" my craft into the water to commence the beginning of another, filled with promise, boating season. I'm definitely not looking for anything even close to a "splash". Just a random thought that crosses my mind when I should be doing something more productive here in the office....:smt021
 
With everyone splashing finally, I imagine the forum will slow down a bit. Opening day of the yachting season on the Delta is Saturday and on San francisco Bay next weekend so there are several parades scheduled. It should be a fun couple of weekends!

Have you ever seen a ship launched? Quite a big "splash".


But I agree with you, I'd be a bit unhappy if my boat made a splash when launched by the marina.
