I have used Woody Wax on the entire top side for some time (works well). Now I need to polish (Pro Polish) the areas that are not non-skid. Anyone know of a good Woody Wax remover, I have tried dish soap and it works but does take some effort to get all the WW off before I polish. The WW gums up with the Pro Polish and makes using the rotary very difficult (jerky).

yes, acetone on a rag works well to take wax off

floor wax remover ?

I recently used Simple Green to remove a fresh coat of Collinite wax from my hull, worked very well. Sprayed from the rub rail down in 10 ft sections, let it sit for a minute or so and then scrubbed it off with my wash brush dipping it into a sloution of Simple Green in a bucket. took a 1/2 hour to do my 380 DA while it was on the hard.

Interlux sells a product that is a wax remover. I believe it is used to remove all the wax left on the gelcoat when the pull the hulls and other products out of the mold.

I have used this to remove vertiglass, woody wax, collinite, and almost everything leaving pure clean gelcoat and its very easy to use. Not nearly as harsh as acetone.

I would not use acetone. Use a strong cleaner like simple green, spray nine, crud cutter, or even Serious Marine Clean.

try ditzler wax and grease remover 330dx or 440dx.440 is stronger .
