With the season fast approaching, what are your projects?

1> Bottom paint
2> Wax
3> Install my Airmar heading sensor
4> Install my new MercMonitor with NMEA200 interface

Relax and enjoy my summer.

The wieght of the patform will be double, aprox 200 lbs. I am adding 4 more bolts through the transom on the platform, totaling 12, with 1/4" 316 stainless backing plates on both sides. All of the fasteners for the four 1" 316 stainless support tubes will be through bolted as well, even the ones below the water line. (These will also be grounded to my bonding system for galvanic protection)

Sounds like you have this well thought out. Don't forget to keep the pictures coming. Maybe make a new thread for it?

1) Replace sterndrive waterpump and try to find the 1K rpm I was missing last year.
2) Buff and wax the rest of the deck. :(
3) Re-strip last years varnish off exterior wood trim and redo with polyurethane.
4) Mount 2 pairs of $20 Advanced Auto LED 'driving lights' on the transom as underwater lights. :)
5) MAY hack apart Bose noise cancelling headphones and slave them into an amp to surface-mount speakers so I hear LESS of the engine and MORE of my new stereo system.
6) If $20 LED lights work well, may paint inside lense of a bunch more and replace all my dome lights. :)
7) Install red LED area lighting from 18-whlr supply as interior night-lights. (just like CIC in the Navy!)
8) Stock reefer with copious quanities of adult beverages! :)
9) Get a screensaver pic of the woman bending over the transom rail with the 'twins' coming out for a 'looksee'. ;)
10) Enjoy good times with good friends cruising Wisconsins' coastline sipping tasty beverages!!! :)

I'd skip the wax job.

I would not mind making a DIY thread for this. If someone wants a bigger platform, cant afford an aftermarket, and is handy with fiberglass, this could be a good option. I need to hook up with Spookeay productions for DIY guidence ! LOL Her videos are great.

Hey Ken, I didnt forget about the platform posts. I kind of got involved with another project, ender up stripping the bottom down to the bare gelcoat. Took longer than I thought...what a crappy job that is! I will be back on the platform next week.

Thanks for remembering, I will be pulling my swim platform tomorrow weather permitting.
