I am looking at installing a Chartplotter/Sonar on my new 21 SPX. However I am having trouble figuring out how to run the transducer wire back to the bilge where I would install the transducer. The wiring bundle leaves the helm and makes a 90 degree turn at the gunnel and appears to run there for the length of the boat. My problem is that on the starboard side there appears to be no access to this area. There is only one small access area under the captains seat, otherwise the entire side of the boat is sealed off. Any tips or advice on how I can route the cable? Through the ski locker everything is sealed off, can't see the bilge anywhere. The only thing I can think of is to remove the interior panel but I'm not sure if that is easily done. It has the motor controls mounted to it and an armrest.

My buddy just got a new 19 SPX and is trying to solve the exact same problem. We'll be on his boat later this week and intend to poke around to see what we can find. Hopefully we'll be successful, but we're anxious to hear if you (or any other members) have any luck with this.

I installed a chartplotter/sonar on my 2015 19 SPX last year. If you remove the starboard speaker, you can reach up and find the wiring harness that runs from the helm to the stern. I ran the chartplotter's wiring by using fish tape from the starboard speaker hole to the stern, then from the opening in the bottom of the helm to the starboard speaker hole, and zip-tied it up to the wiring harness as far as I could reach in from both directions. Pretty simple and took only a few minutes.
