Well......its going down to 22* and U.P. will be getting 4-8" of SNOW,that's Right the Polar Vortex is here......I always want that to ECHO when I say POLAR VORTEX!!!!!!!!! Cars and Trucks ready GUYS???? How about Houses???? I've got 20 face cord of WOOD cut in the barn for the POLAR VORTEX ... Got to go visit the boat and get her ready for a long winter and a new Tapered Radar Mast.....

Now THAT is getting too darn cold for this early in the year.

Robert, I don't want to make you feel bad (well, maybe just a little) but I'm down in the Phoenix area today. It only got up to the mid 80's here. :smt101

Polar Vortex??? I call it global warming.... And yes, the U.P. is supposed to get 4-8" of global warming.

Well I know I'm messed up in the head, because I own a boat ...... Only one place you can lose money faster than owning a boat ... The commercial space adventure market . That's messed up and it's seriously cold up there.

Bring on the Polar Vortex so we can enjoy our winter activity...skiing. If I can't be on my boat... want to be on the slops.

Leaves are picked up. Cord and a half of wood stacked for regular fires in the fireplaces. Bllizaks installed on the TTS with winter mats in place. Tractor backed into the garage with a 48" blower installed. Irrigation system winterized. Dock is winterize with bubbler in place. Bird feeder on patio in place. I'm going to try and wash some windows on the lake side of the house in the next few days. Just need a dry day for that. The lawn equipment is serviced and put away along with all the outdoor furniture. And, the boat is washed, dry and safely stored inside a heated clean building. I've got to swap out our American flag down by the dock, but will wait until Thanksgiving week end. The gales of November are really hard on flags. The current flag is showing numerous tears but still flies nicely. A fresh flag later in the month will last until May 1st. It could storm anytime after tomorrow and we are good to go until the ice goes out. Let the winter games begin.

It was 60 today....... So naturally, I went out and hung the Christmas lights. I won't light them until after Thanksgiving........

I enjoyed watching the guys use bucket trucks to install the lights in the palm trees Saturday. They aren't lit yet, but I'm sure they will look very WARM and festive when the time comes :)

Cold weather coming next, a good chance to see below zero temps in the next 2 weeks. This is an early and most wintery start to winter that I can remember since maybe the 60's. Supposed to get 3-6" more snow today....the total since Sunday night around 2 feet. What a mess, it had been rainy, ground was warm and all this snow on top....hard plowing....heavy shoveling. It sure is purdy out there though.

Just came in for a pack of smokes, sammich, and another quart of beer. The driveway is lengthy and there's the puttzin around the houses, my daughter's place is about a quarter mile down the drive so I do it too. So I'm thinking why is my son-in-law sitting with his feet up while the old guy with the bum knee and weak heart is doing the work? Maybe if I hold up my Will and show him a bottle of white out I can get him to take over.:smt043

Glad to see you are still with us Woody, I was a little concerned that you were lying in a snow drift somewhere.
Which makes me remember.....A couple years ago at the Post Office I held the door open for real nice looking gal about 40. She smiled, gave me the look(that's what I thought anyway), and said 'thank you'. I responded by saying, 'I do accept tips'. She said, 'tips, hmmmm....OK, at your age I wouldn't be shoveling snow too fast'.:smt043
