Winterizing Recommendations

Hi Sam,

I'm wondering if you might share who your contractactor for winterizing is? I had a frustrating experience with a contactor last winter and was actually thinking about going back to PWM this year, but hate paying their price. I'm paying for my rental slip all year at Fairfax Yacht Club on the Occoquan and now I'm thinking seriously about keeping it there.

If you would like to send an email my email is moorefamva@verizon.net.

Thank you,

Mike

i store my 240DA on my trailer in an indoor heated garage. Total cost for the months i need it is a little less than to have it blocked, shrink wrapped, and stored outside. If you can store it inside, do it. You wont regret it come comissioning time in the spring. It stays clean, dry, and doesnt get subjected to the extreme temps for a typical NorthEast winter.

I do all my own winter maintenance also and it costs me about $150 total. If you are semi-talented with a wrench, you can do most of the things you need to do for winter storage by yourself. Save the dealer for the things you really cant (or dont want to) do.

Good thing theres still 6 more weeks of boating (for us die-hards)!!

Mike
