I am attemping to winterize my boat on a boat lift and had a few questions.
1) Is the pink antifreeze safe for the enviroment. It appears that the both the bucket method and the hose method will result in some antifreeze ending up to the lake. What is the best method to avoid this?
2) In the spring, how do I put the boat back in service without any antifreeze ending up in the lake?
3) How do I fog the engine (5.0L, efi)? The manual indicates that I close the fuel shutoff valve. Put oil int the fuel filter and run the engine until it dies. What if I don't have a fuel shut off valve?
4) In a fresh water enviroment, should I spray the engine with a anti-corrosive spray? If so what? Is this really necessary. I have a daughter that is chemically sensitive. This could cause real problems in the spring when the engine heats up.
Thanks.
Philip
