Its a 2005 185 BR 4.3

It only has 40 hours so no major maintance is needed. I just feel like I forgot something this time. Let me know what else you may suggest.

1. Bring motor to temp and fogged Motor
2. Pulled both block plugs, pulled both manifold plugs and water pump plug and replaced plugs
3. Topped off gear lube
4. Pulled top 4 coolant hoses and filled manifolds, waterpump and poured coolant down outdrive hose until I saw coolant
5. Lowered outdrive
6. Pulled battery
7. Topped off fuel and added stablizer

Oil still looks new but it will be changed in the spring. Any other suggestions? Thanks

I suggest, and most others do as well, to drain oil in lower unit and refill with fresh lube. Any water in that lube - cracked lower unit.

Also, change motor oil now, not spring. The acids in the oil from combustion byproducts are bad on your internals sitting all winter.

If the above list is the order that you performed your tasks, then yes, you did forget something. You should fill and stabilze the fuel first so that you can run stabilized fuel through the entire fuel lines and intake injectors before fogging and winterzing.

I would have changed the oil now to remove (even unseen) contaminants. Why let old oil sit in there for the layup period?

Sorry, yea the fuel and stablizer was added first.

This oil only has 3-5 hours on it so I am guessing it wont have many contaminants in it. Yea we dont run the boat a whole lot. We like to float!
