Winterizing A/C while in water

Groco makes these things you can put on your sea cocks so you don't have to do anything with your caps... seems a little easier IMO..

I also like the Groco valves, but I don't see how it is any easier. Besides, removing and cleaning out the strainer is part of winterization. On many boats, by 1993 330DA comes to mind, accessing the A/C seacock was a job initself. Removing the entire hose to install the groco, or similar "T" valve just wasn't worth the effort. I did install permanent "T" valves on both mains in that boat, but I had to medicate for three days afterwards.....
