Just put my baby to bed this past weekend. Very sad event! We went out for the last time for Marine Max's Poker Run and it was a blast running all over Lake Lanier looking for the Sea Ray boats holding the poker cards. I came in third with a pair of nines and won a Xtreme bilge heater. "Sweeeet"!! Now my baby is nestled in her new cover with her new heater.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!

How was the low county boil after the poker run. We did not make it down this year. Was not sure how the ramp on the north end of the lake would have been. How many boats this year did they have?

The country boil was wonderful. Tommy cooked up a mean spread. I believe there were 13 boats in the run. We put in at Shoal Creek and didn't have any problems at all. It was a little slow going out of Shoal Creek and going up Bald Ridge Creek to the marina but once we hit the water near the damn, we opened her up for the first time. It was really cold tho!! The run started at 10 and the temps were low enough to take your breath away if you choose to stand up. It looked like the only boats on Lanier that day were the boats participating in the poker run.
