Winter Blues? I thought your wife was selecting new colors for the interior! :) Snow is good! It means we didn't winterize for nothing! Besides now we can go snowshoeing, cross country and downhill SKIING!!! WOOHOOOO!!!!

I love boating, but if I did it year around I wouldn't appreciate it as much as I do now in the Spring. I'd become complacent and probably wouldn't use the boat as much as I do now between May and September.

I agree. There is a season for everything. Right now it's warm fires, skiing and planning winter work. Come February, I'll be at the boat waxing and getting things ready for an April 15 launch.

Ah Yes

Well My baby is all covered in a huge barn, she's been cleaned and polished Once again....and well.......God I miss her!!!!!! I don't know how I'm going to last for 5 more months, not seeing her in the driveway waiting to go on another trip.....all excited. Its good to know that she has been put away all safe and sound though.... I have summer videos I can watch of her, I even have some still shots of her just floating in the water.... I miss her sooo Much :smt089 Only 4 and 1/2 months to go and she'll be back..

And to think , My wife thinks there's no one else in my life.....

Boltman, well stated!

No snow here yet. It was a bit cold today, but took the boat out anyway, for a couple of hours. Air temp about 33, water temp about 43. Had a wind from the north east, not too strong, but enough to rock the boat. Had full canvas up, and cabin heat on, so I was not cold, but it was too cold to fool with anchor lines. Since I was the only fool out there, I just took a few photos and came back. Normally only hunters out in their boats on a day like today.

Hunter to wife, back home drinking coffee... "Naw, we didn't really get skunked. Charlie shot Ralph."

yeah im having severe boating withdrawls too. My Dancer is washed and waxed and polished and sitting on my trailer at an indoor facility just waiting to go. Of course, to pass the time, ive decided to look at bigger boats for next season. Im sure that hobby will get the best of me! The way i see it is there's only 3 months, 3 weeks, and 1 day until the April launch! (but whos counting...)

Mike

This year, we're keeping ours in the water in a covered slip. She's pinked and set for the winter. At least I can go visit once a week :smt001

I'm with Sundancer! The short NE season only makes me appreciate every precious boating weekend more!

(Plus, getting paid for pushing the white stuff around feeds my boating habit...most years, anyway!! )

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.................
