It looks like the black rubber that seals the windshield into the frame on our 230 cc has become dry and brittle, allowing rain water to get past it and enter the boat from between the glass and the frame. When it's pouring outside it's pouring inside, running along the inside of the windshield frame and spilling over at the helm seat. Does anyone have experience with purchasing and changing this rubber or is it something the glass shop has to do? I was also wondering if it's possible to work a small bead of black 3M-4200 into the glass/frame joint to create a permanent waterproof seal. I've researched the thread regarding "flocking" but this seems to relate to a totally different material than the stuff I need to seal the windshield. Bummer, 'cause we just put a new camper top on the boat in hopes of eliminating all the water intrusion.
