Windshield Vent Actuator Motor

I have a 2003 380 Sundancer that needs the windshield vent actuator motor replaced.

Seems i Need to know the stroke length and strength in pounds.

The description says 4”8P. Is that a 4” stroke.

Windjammer posted his results here. Try a search for his posts - it's about $105 for a new motor. A lot of us have had luck in lubing them and getting them to operate. Never run it to its open limit...

It's an interesting question....My parts catalog says the same thing.

Though, when I took a measurement with the vent closed, the closed position measured at 10.1" which is the 6" stroke size.... Did anyone get a 6" one?

The parts list is telling you a 4" stroke with 8# force.

A lot of us have chosen to cut the dealer/factory markup out of the replacement by using a Progressive Automations linear actuator as was mentioned above. Make the cost about $130. vs nearly $500. They are extremely well made, and can be purchased with an optional neoprene boot to keep the seal areas dry. They are worth the added cost buy you will lose your religion when you install them.
