I plan to remove the windshield to my 1998 Bowrider 210 so that I can have the glass professionally tinted. Inspection shows some type of white silicone sealant between the windshield frame and the cockpit. I'd like to order whatever parts I need prior to pulling the windshield to minimize downtime. Is there some type of adhesive backed, rubberized seal between the windshield frame and the cockpit that is covered by the silicone sealant? As far as the sealant, what type of sealant is suggested? Local window tint companies are charging between $600 and $1K to tint the windows on the boat and will not guarantee the finished product. These same companies will tint the windows off the boat for less than $150 and are more willing to make repeated attempts to stretch the material to match the curve of the glass. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
