Does anyone know how rain water is supposed to escape the windshield channel? At some point it appears the previous owner over tightened the screw as shown in the pic. Now when it rains I have water running inside out through the screw hole. Should there be some sort of drain inside the channel/track?

On my 420, there is a low point on the side where there is no caulk. In other words, water runs down along the side of the windshield (any that got inside the cockpit) and then hits that gap and drains overboard. In my opinion, the previous owner caulked up the gap. The place I'm talking about is just aft of the line holding up the fender.

Thanks for the reply. I do have the open area for the water to drain out you're referring to as well. The issue I have is water inside the windshield trim where the screw cover is. How does water get out of that?

If water is really coming from the screw hole and not the surrounding caulked area (I would check both), you could try removing the screw and re-seating it with some silicone sealant. I used some of that on our nav lights and it works great.
