I'm interested in installing a windshield cover for my ACMY. The type I want is made of a woven material that blocks most of the suns UV rays but allows good visibility. Anybody have a recommendation?

Textilene. I have not used it on a boat, but have used it for porch screens, etc. It comes in many colors and various percentage of sun blockage. Most canvas shops are familiar with it. Google the word Textilene.
I put this thread in my "favorites" folder so I can reference it when I get around to making some shades. "Textilene", like Cap'n Allen said, I believe is mentioned in this thread.
I have a windshield cover made of black Textilene, We use it all the time, You do know that you don't drive with this on....at least on a SunDancer! when the boat is outside (as opposed to a covered well) it cuts down on the bright sun and keeps the cockpit under the hardtop cooler, also provides a bit more privicy. Great product.

Sounds like what i have. Works great. I have no problem under way theres, only snaps across the bottom on mine and its tight so it dosent lift at all. Mine wraps all around the windows in my salon. its ice cold in the dead of summer in there.
