Windsheild condonsation problem

I was recently in the North Channel and the dew and condonsation was very heavy and made it impossible to see early in the morning. I finally took off the canvas windows and stored them down below and put them on just before we took off the next morning, but the windshield was still wet and foggy and I had to stand up to drive for two hours.

I was wondering what you do to get rid of the condonsation early in the morning, our boat does not have a defrost. Can or do people install after market defrost systems, do they work on canvas windows and glass?

Similar problems. We get it at night when dew settle also. I was considering trying a 12 volt plug in defroster.

We have the optional factory heat and defroster. Works pretty well once the starboard engine warms up. Looks like a royal pain to install in a finished boat.

That's the way to go. Sometimes, just a small 12v fan will work - the kind with a suction-cup base is convenient.
