Engines
Merc 260, GM performance intake manifold, 2.02 double hump heads, Reed cam.
I have a 79 sundancer that I have mostly restored. I am at the windows for this winters project. I have called and emailed Taylormade with no luck. Where can I buy new window gaskets and felts?

Hmm i will be following this one as I have not been able to figure it all out. Even have sample from Taylormade

The gaskets arent available,i soaked mine in bleach and hot water then cleaned and streched them a bit, worked well. The felts are available .taylormade products.com.They sell by the foot and charge a $25 cutting fee plus shipping.May want to get a few of you togeather before ordering and save a few bucks. The forwards section plexi is set in black rv window gasket tape which takes a few attempts to get in without screwing it up,i think i have a roll 100' for $14 from general rv.I would consider useing urethane next time instead of the tape,it can get very messy very fast though so have a friend you wont mind punching help you if you do.

http://www.crlaurence.com/ will have everything you need. The problem is trying to match what you have with right item.

They sell thousands of products but will not have any listing specific to a use.

I was fortunate to have an outlet close by. I just took a piece of felt track and seal rubber I salvaged to match with their stuff.

Got a perfect match and the cost was less than 10% of Taylor quotes.

Just so everyone knows, as of a couple months ago, Taylor no longer sells direct if you are looking for a part that is attached to a Brunswick boat. You have to go through your dealer.

I just got some of the side window flock ordered through my dealer from Taylormade and it was $45 for a 9 foot section plus the 25 service fee, but I received it in 5 days.

Thanks guys. This gives me enough to go on

Mike.. Do you have part numbers and the profile of the stuff you have? I have to do my 86- 270 and that might save me some time. Dave
