My window cog on my 2004 dancer broke off. It’s welded on the 2004 320 and that’s where it failed. Of course it’s the bottom one and rain can get in. Short of a new window and frame, will anything else work? I’ve tried various things such as jb weld, metal glues etc. all haven’t held the pressure. it could probably be spot welded but I’m not comfortable or knowledgeable in that area. Thoughts??

Unfortunately I left the boat. It’s part 1453992 (entire window)
It basically looks like this attachment. The “cog” or whatever it’s called, is attached metal to metal to the bottom of the window. You can see on the outside ring that the metal ring goes around each of the three cogs.

Is it the screw that holds the bottom latch in that failed? That happened on a few of the the same latches my 340da due to corrosion. I was able to drill the broken screw out and tape the threads and get a new screw to thread into it. I put antseize on it and didn’t have an issue after that.

Not the screw. The entire metal assembly to the cog broke off. It’s welded to the window frame.

    Here’s what it looks like
The top part is the weld
