Windlass Up/Down switch covers

I agree with Beachcomber! Mine were a mess too, and the cleaning method he described worked perfectly. After I got it clean, I also added some 3M Mildew Prevention spray. Haven't seen ANY signs of that mess again!

I found something that worked. I tried all the suggestions here but had no luck getting the foot switches clean. Then I remembered Jim's (the forum owner's) suggestion of using SOS pads for cleaning the shore power cord. That worked great so I tried it on the windlass covers. Success! I still think SS covers would look better, but this will do.....for now
