Standard OEM Lewmar Vertical that came on all 330's of that era. The windlass works fine both up and down from the foot pads on the bow and will deploy down from the helm. However the retrieve (up) button does not function from the dash. I can hear the relay click, but no movement.

Any idea where to start looking for problems.

TIA.

OEM was Lofrans Progress 1.

That said, I had to do repairs when I first got my 330. Check two things:

1. The control box and wiring harness in the anchor locker is NOT well protected. It is simply screwed to the ceiling of the locker. If the screws come loose, the whole control box with wires attached, falls down and can get snagged or hit by your rode or chain in the locker and could easily have broken or loosened the wiring connections either at the box or under the foot pedals which are also interconnected in the locker.

2. I had a "gimpy" up/down helm switch too. It was slight corrosion on the contacts inside the switch. Likely due to near horizontal placement on the helm and moisture getting in from rain, coffee spills or other similar. I took the switches apart (watch for springs etc that pop out when you open it). I was able to clean and reassemble mine and works fine now.) It might be easier to just replace it???

I just recently had to replace the helm switch on mine, due to corrosion. But if you can hear the relay clicking, that might be something else. Good luck!

OOPS!

You are correct. I did not look at the boat prior to posting. I just looked online and saw a pic that looked like mine as I was not at the boat. Looking at the boat, I stand corrected. My apologies.

Thanks for the information. I'll check both suggestions out. It's been some time since I've been on/able to use the boat. More on that later.

Thanks again.
