Windlass EIM Issues Anyone?

Bought my 340 Sundancer new in August 2006. My boat is used in a freshwater lake and is docked under cover.

About a month ago MM replaced my windlass EIM box because my windlass would not operate from the helm (but would operate by bow foot pedals). Recently we went out and, lo and behold, the windlass would not work AGAIN. MM visited my boat AGAIN and says it is the EIM box AGAIN. They say SeaRay has been having issues with factory installed EIM boxes and that they are currently on back order.

Have any of my fellow Club SeaRay members been having problems with your EIM boxes?!

I think the more pressing question is why did the replacement EIM only last a month. It makes me think that maybe MM mis-diagnosed the problem originally, or the bad EIM is a result of some other problem on the boat.

Let me know what ur solution turns out cuz i'm having a problem with my windlass as well. All I hear at the helm is clicking when i push the up/down buttons. When on the bow pressing the footplates I hear nothing. :huh:

That's exactly what my windlass does at the helm even though the bow pedals work.
